The Law Society is a statutory body constituted under the Legal Profession Act (NT), which controls and regulates the affairs of the legal profession in the NT and offers services to lawyers. The Society is the only body in the NT that is able to issue Practising Certificates to lawyers.
For the community, the Society investigates complaints made against lawyers and has also produced information relating to legal costs.
